We are looking to add a professional Leasing Consultant to the team at our Legends Morgan Farms apartment community in Traverse City, MI.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greets all prospective residents and responds to phone/internet inquiries
• Completes guest cards and performs necessary follow-up activities
• Shows apartments to potential residents and communicates the features and benefits of living in our community
• Reviews lease applications, and assists with the verification process
• Closes sales, secures leases, and completes all necessary paperwork
• Keeps accurate leasing activity records and reports
• Complies with Fair Housing, state, and federal laws
• Monitors concessions and changes in availability
• Implements marketing plans through telephone contacts and outside marketing sources
• Offers ideas for improving the physical property
• Advertises the community and participates in maintaining social media accounts
• Inspects grounds while walking units or the community, and reports service needs to the Maintenance Supervisor & Community Manager
• Inspects vacant units for readiness
• Assists the Community Manager/Assistant Manager with other tasks as requested

Qualifications:

• Must have an enthusiastic attitude while providing excellent customer service .
• Projects a positive and friendly environment both over the phone and on-site
• Demonstrates excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Works well with little direction or supervision
• Pays attention to detail
• Must have availability to work a rotating schedule to accommodate our leasing office that is open 7 days/week.

Job Requirements: Education/Knowledge

• High School Diploma
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must have a valid ID
• We prefer candidates with residential leasing experience, but are interested in candidates who have retail or other sales experience who are looking for a career change.

Experience:

• Property Management: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer Service: 1 year (Required)
